Youth Programs
We offer a flexible schedule for youth and adult programs and retreats. These programs are tailored to meet the needs of people with differing interests, goals, and time commitments. The museum itself provides a wealth of information about the Catholic Faith through a detailed historical encounter of the Church.
Confirmation/
Young Adult Retreat
Prepare your young adults to mature in the Faith through receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit at Confirmation. Equal time is spent in the museum and in the soup kitchen, giving young adults the opportunity to enjoy the patrimony of the Church as well as serving the underprivileged. Overnight accommodations are available, with a rosary walk in the evening. Groups remaining overnight sleep in the auditorium in sleeping bags to experience, on a modified basis, a day in the life of the homeless.
Social Justice and High School Community Service Program
We offer a great opportunity for high school students to put their Social Justice classes into action. By directly working with the poor and homeless, they will come to a greater understanding of what Christ meant when He said, “I was hungry and you gave Me food… Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of Mine, you did for Me” (Matt. 25: 35-40). Students will help Ms. Frances Carr, the Soup Kitchen director, in the daily activities of preparing and distributing meals and setting up for the next day.
RCIA/ Continuing Religious Education Program
Parish organizations and clubs, such as RCIA, Bible studies, Christian Mothers’ Club, and Knights of Columbus are encouraged to schedule a time to tour the museum. Experience the beauty of the Church’s patrimony while receiving catechetical instruction in a fun, enjoyable manner. This makes an ideal addition for an RCIA’s Church history class.
